What do the examiners hold?
All inspectors are independent trade qualified motor mechanics certificated with the NSW Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Authority.
Does the inspection involve the use of any electronic diagnostic equipment?
No.
Will the inspector perform a compression test?
No, as this requires the removal of components of the vehicle.

How long will the inspection take?
We allow three hours for the inspection of the vehicle.
Do you inspect vehicles on weekends?
Our vehicle inspections are by appointment only. Contact us on 1300 682 123 to discuss your needs and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Is there a guarantee?
There is no guarantee as such however the statutory provisions state that vehicle inspections must be completed with due care and skill and to an acceptable trade standard.
Does the inspector check title or verify any background on the vehicle?
No. To check if there is finance owing on the vehicle, go to
NSW REVS.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you contact MTA Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspections 48 hours before your booking you'll receive a full refund. If less than 48 hours notice is given, no refund applies however we will assess this on a case by case basis. Please call us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking.
What happens if the vehicle is unable to be test driven?
This will be reported in the inspection and all other sections of the vehicle will still be examined.
How do I pay for the inspection?
You can pay for your vehicle inspection by credit or debit card at the time of booking.
